Hey folks, today is my birthday...Hooray! I'm 37 years old and loving life! I'm married to a wonderful woman and have 2 fantastic children...life couldn't be sweeter.

I don't know why I feel this way, but while I was at the gym this morning on the stationary bicycle, I was thinking that my life is going to change for the better.
Those that know me know that I have suffered some great losses the past few years. I think I've dealt with them as well as could be expected.

Going through and overcoming those personal struggles, I have come to realize that ANYTHING is possible. I just wonder what the good lord has in store for me next.

What will I be called upon to do? Clearly, my mission is to help people. Every job I've ever had has been service oriented. I spent almost 17 years of my life working in the Human Services field, and worked 4 years in Human Resources. What do those 2 fields have in common? They both deal with "HUMANS".

What does all this mean? I have no idea. All I know is today is my birthday, and since this is my blog, I will just share what's on my melon. LOL!

He was elected President of the United States at age 60.

Can you imagine facing all those failures almost every year of your life from the time you were 31 years old? That would be more than enough to put a dark cloud over Gandhi's head. Do you think that most people would have passed the test that God had put before them?

What do you think made the difference in this individual? What was the missing ingredient that so many of us lack?

I know you're like...What did he just say? But it's true! Most of us die at 21 and are buried at 71. What does that tell you? It tells me that the majority of us are walking corpses because our spirits are DEAD!

As a matter of fact, I just saw "The True Hollywood Story" about Will Smith yesterday. Will's mother didn't want him to pursue his music career. She didn't think being a rapper would be something he could use to make anything of himself.
She wanted him to go to college to become an engineer.


Because Will believed in himself more than his mother did at the time...
Will decided to go out and sign that recording deal that made him a millionaire almost INSTANTLY!

The rest, is as they say...HISTORY!

I think he's right, his mother did have horrible career advice for him at that time.
The truth is, it wasn't her fault! That's how she was raised to believe. Will's mother is an educated woman. She did everything she encouraged her son to do with the hopes that HE will somehow "make it" using those methods.

Do you wanna be rich...or do you wanna be right?

That's what you'll have to ask yourself. Many of us like to be "right" ALL THE TIME for the sake of being right. I would like to share a tidbit of history with those of you that may not know.

Socrates was one of the greatest thinkers of our time, yet he died always right and BROKE!Do you that that was a coincidence? I don't!

How many people do you know that seem to have all the answers. Maybe they have an INCREDIBLE gift to be able to critique things that themselves haven't EVER tried. How cool would it be if you had that same power/ability?

How about being able to "know" that the food at the new restaurant on the corner of 1st and Main St. SUCKS without ever sitting down to eat at that restaurant? You could somehow just tell by the location.

You see, the last restaurant that was on that corner 15 years ago had a food poisoning incident not to mention horrible service.

I'm just trying to illustrate that this type of thinking doesn't make sense. I'm sure we all know at least 1 person like that, and if we can't think of who that person is...check the mirror my friend because you might be that person.

Personally, I have made a conscious decision to be rich and comfortable rather than always being right and broke.

5 Symptoms of Paralysis-By-Analysis (Thinking Too Much And Never Getting Started)

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

What is failure anyway? Failure is an earned privilege believe it or not. Without failure, there would be far less advances in our lives. The problem is that most of us see our failures as something to be ashamed of.

I suppose that we should be ashamed of those failures if we "fail" to learn from them. How many times have we tried something that just didn't turn out the way we expected?

I know I have tried several things in the past that have failed for me miserably! For instance, I tried my hand at network marketing when I was in college...way back in the day.

Successful network marketers know how to replace negative self-talk and change it to positive self-talk. Remember, the only voice we can hear 100% of the time is our own, so be careful what you say to yourself.

People, especially friends and family, try to brain wash you along the way. They tell you that you will not succeed. They laugh at you. They tease you, and tell you it won't work. But don’t listen. Work your business and make it work. At the end you'll become so successful that family and friend eventually join you too.

Can we all agree that mindset is the foundation for success? If we assume that most agree with that, then why do we do the complete opposite in hopes of being successful?

I've been guilty of that in the past until I realized that I was TOTALLY counter-productive. Most of us will continue to do the same things over and over knowing that we should stop and change.

Do you think I was wrong? The answer is, yes! I was wrong, because if you remember yesterday's lesson, the only voice we hear 100% of the time is our own. My voice was loud as hell! Always telling me that I was crazy and silly for ever believing that I could be successful. Isn't that horrible? I've since changed my ways.

We're all looking for new ways to make money. Some of us have turned to the Internet, and most of us have failed at some point, haven't we?

Some of us have failed several times, so why haven't we given up already? Because some of us know that failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.
